It was 23-25 December last year's Christmas break. I had a small trip with my family to Jogjakarta (Yogyakarta). We went to the Pine Forest, Merapi Lava Tour, and some places with yummy foods to eat. But I forgot to take photos of the foods, oops sorry.

Decide on your Subject

Focus on one specific subject. Tumblr pictures tend to focus on a single subject in a simple setting, or we usually call that minimalism.

Avoid the Zoom Feature

Digital zoom enlarges the picture but it leads to pixilation or blurred images. If you want a close-up shot, simply move closer to your subject.

Lighting

Make sure your light is always behind you and in front of your subject. Unless you’re shooting a sunrise/sunset or a similar scene, your subject should always be illuminated, not backlit.

When taking pics indoors, experiment with your subject placement. Repositioning your subject will help. When taking pics outdoors, try to avoid direct sunlight.

The Rule of Thirds

The rule of thirds is a photography technique where you mentally separate your picture into a three-by-three grid, then position important elements of the picture to intersect the grid lines. This technique is deemed more pleasing to the eye than placing a subject in the middle of the screen, because it will look awkward.

You can enable a three-by-three grid for most phones' screens in the “Camera” section of the “Settings” menu.

Main Focus

Your main subject should be the main focus of your picture, keeping in mind the rule of thirds.

Surrounding Areas

The areas surrounding your subject are also important, Even though your subject should be the most in focus, it shouldn’t be the only thing in the frame.

Take More Pictures

It's better to take too many pictures than too few. From those pictures that you took, you can choose the best one and move on to editing and uploading them!

As you can see from its name, this village is literally a rainbow village (Kampung Pelangi in Bahasa, was Wonosari village). This village is probably the gayest village ever in Semarang, LOL don't take that seriously I'm sorry. But it's really cute though, a lot of national tourists came here to take photos with the beautiful rainbow walls. Not only walls. even the floors are rainbow too. This used to be slum village has 223 houses newly painted with the colors of rainbow. It has caught the attention of people all around the media because of its colorful-ness and it is really appealing to the eye. And another thing, this place is very "instagrammable"! Here are some of the photos I took there :

OK girls! If you're a social media person, believe me you will relate to all of these struggles, cos gurl, THE STRUGGLE IS REAL.

Being active

Instagram and Snapchat stories. We all have that one dope moment that would be really really cool to put in our story for our followers to see. And it's actually a struggle to catch moments like that. I am a victim of this lol, I swear every time my friends and I go out together I never miss a chance to upload every single sh*t we do.

Instagram feeds like duh

Let's face it, keeping up with your Instagram feeds is the hardest thing among all social media struggles. Dat moment when you took a bomb picture with your friends or siblings and everyone is posting that picture but it doesn't go with your feeds and you're just like .___. NOOO. Just please understand... You gotta force yourself to wear outfits that match your feeds and sacrifice that pretty dress you just bought just because it doesn't go with your feeds.

Food is a must

I always take photos of foods, ALWAYS. My friends and family are so used to it, they offered me to take a pic before they take a bite. Thank you for understanding me *happy tears* lol. Because hey, food is so instagram material, no kidding they really look good on my instagram. Even though they doesn't taste that good but do it all for the gram.

Bad pictures

That one time when you're in a very nice place that's so instagram material but nobody is there with you.. there's nothing you can do but ask a stranger to take photos of you. Of course they'll say yes but here comes the annoying part, THEY AIN'T GOOD WITH CAMERAS. Therefore bad angles and blurred pics that's what you got.. like dude seriously? c'moonnn! -_-

Stranger danger

Well to be honest it's nice actually having random people DM-ing you saying "hey beautiful"or something like that, but some people are just too thirsty and they just DM you with ...weird.. "things"... I'm like wuuuuttt.

Instagrammers block

Yeah it's a thing cos I just made it a thing. It's something like a writers block but it's Instagram...ye... FYI this is my struggle at the moment. I REALLY HAVE NO GOOD PICTURES TO POST. HELP. SOMEBODY. There's literally nothing "tumblr" and "instagrammable" here in town. And these days I've been so lazy I don't even feel like going out of the house. I don't know what's wrong with me smh. :/

If you're looking for the best kimbap recipe then you're in the right place! What's kimbap again? It's a Korean snack that looks like sushi rolls. Yup it's Korean sushi rolls. So without no further ado, here's the recipe..

What You'll Need :

A sushi roller

4 sheets Nori (dried seaweed)

2 cups cooked rice

2 tsp sesame oil

2 tsp salt

Kimbap fillings : (main)

1 carrot, julienned

Cucumber, cut into long strips

2 eggs

Cooked bulgogi beef

1/2 pound of spinach, parboiled

Imitation crab

(filling suggestions - optional)

smoked salmon and cream cheese

kimchi and cheese

spam, mayo, and veggies

ham/sausage and cheese

tuna salad with romaine lettuce and cheese

freshed or seasoned vegetables (for vegetarians)

How To Make :

01 When rice is almost cooled, mix with sesame oil and salt.

02 Stir-fry carrot and cucumber (separately) with a dash of salt

03 Whisk egg until completely yellow and fry into flat omelette and cut into long strips

04 Using a sushi roller, lay the nori shiny side down and sprinkle a dash of salt

05 Spread about 1/2 cup of rice onto 2/3 of the nori leaving the 1/3 top bare

06 Lay the first ingredient down around 1/3 of the way up from the bottom of the nori then lay other fillings down on top

07 Roll from the bottom with the sushi roll

08 As you continue rolling, pull the whole thing down towards the end of the bamboo mat

09 Seal the seam with a tiny dab of water

10 Cut the roll into 7-8 pieces

Let's start with Jin - he is the mom of the group and he often get unnoticed. He is underrated but, actually he is a very great singer. His voice is so sweet and relaxing.
Jimin - I think he has this really high-pitched sound and the little mochi keeps improving his singing skills everyday.
Jungkook - yes! The golden maknae (youngest). He got the most lines in bangtan because of his stable and smooth voice.
Taehyung - his voice is the deepest in bangtan, Indeed, it's very unique! I got chills every time he sing.

I know that maintaining an aesthetic Instagram feed is reaallyy stressful. Well, girls (or boys :D) I got you! Here are some basic steps on how to maintain that thing you called aesthetic Instagram feed.

1. What's Your Aesthetic?

3. Editing Skills Matters!
What's the secret to stunning Instagram posts? Editing apps of course! My favorite editing app is the VSCOcam (read; "visco cam") with this app you can experiment with a lot of awesome filters and you can also play with the tools so you can adjust your photo's temperature, brightness, tint, and more.

I'm also using the Facetune App. This app is a magic wand lol. I personally love the whiten tool that came with this app, even though this app is paid but it's totally worth it I guarantee that. Here's a before and after photo using the whiten tool from the Facetune App.

4. Slay your #OOTD's

If you want to achieve the perfect Instagram feed, you might wanna spice up your #OOTD a bit! Always dress like you're going to meet your worst enemy. Step up your Instagram game by posting #OOTD pictures. It can either be a picture of yourself wearing your clothes or a simple flatlay like this:

5. Too Much Selfie's Ain't Good
Yup that's right, posting too much selfie is not good for your feed. I think that having too much selfies will reduce the 'tumblrness' of your feed. Just take a look at Lauren Riihimaki's account on Instagram, she barely even posted a selfie!
